Welcome to Topic Factory - Bloggers Helping Bloggers

After having used this site to play around with WordPress and feed syndicating with limited success as the feed script kept reverting back to internal linking and displaying full feeds I decided to give up the idea of using it to showcase the greatest blogs on blogging out there. The idea as such was not bad I think, but instead of showcasing the sites with short excerpts of their latest posts linking directly to the post itself it more times got me into trouble because of said script failures.

Wanting to preserve the philosophy behind the idea I decided to go another route. Coinciding with thoughts about whether my first blog Circular Communication wasn’t straying off the path envisioned I decided to set up this blog so it would supplement the first and provide an outlet of the things that I find highly interesting, but less fitting for Circular Communication.

As a result is Topic Factory in essence circularity applied to the Blogosphere. It is blogging about blogging and helping bloggers helping bloggers. It is a tribute to connecting and collaborating. It will thus help me refocus Circular Communication to be more about communication than blogging although the two concepts naturally overlap and thus both will be present here as well as there. The sharper focus will hopefully also help people better finding what they seek.

Every day thousands upon thousands of blogs are started and more than a million blog posts are published. My intention with this blog is to highlight some of the best and help improve the rest while trying to help others do the same. If I can help someone who in turn helps someone else who in turn helps someone else then my purpose is not only defined, but also fulfilled. If you can even consider something like that to ever be fulfilled.

This site can be seen as another logical piece of my blogging puzzle (with Circular Communication being the first). Another outlet for my ideas on the circularity of life. That it is blogging about blogging and bloggers helping bloggers in ongoing cycles illustrates this conception. If it thus also yet another way of adding to the journey with no wish or intention of ever arriving.

There is nothing wrong with getting somewhere or with arriving as such, but why would you want to arrive when you can enjoy the journey and make the most of it. Since being on the move and in transition is the state where you will be most of the time you may as well savor it and pass that on I think. Having goals and reaching them just as celebrating each bigger accomplishment is fine as long as it is seen as steps rather than destinations.

Since this is a blog about blogging and not least about the people behind them I will try to cover a lot of topics like Quality, Growing, Promotion, Monetization, Design, Content, Linking, Strategy, Optimization, Entrepreneurship, Presentation, Motivation, Productivity, Branding, Interviews, Recommendations, Purpose, Possibilities, Competitions, Blog Projects and more. I am sure some will be covered more and some may be covered less depending on how things evolve.

I am prepared to write everything myself, but you are more than welcome to contribute as well. In fact that would not only be in perfect accordance with this sites purpose, but also help the site help even more on even more topics. If you have written something relevant simply send it in. Everyone will of course get fully credited for his or her work. You can also help adding to the information here by commenting.

I am neither a believer in one-stop blogs or in trying to keep people here at all costs. We live in the age of connections. Connections between people, ideas, information, etc. Connecting contributions worth exploring and collaborating where it is at all possible is hence the mantra of this site. Everything may already seem to have been said and written, but at least can we try to help getting it better connected and not least more qualified.

I want to do what I can to help make that happen and I hope you will too. There is no better time to start than now.

Sounds like a very interesting concept. I’m interested to see where you go with it :)

    Hi Skellie,

Thanks for accepting the invitation to come by and for your submission to my <a href=”http://www.circularcommunication.com/carnival/”>Carnival of Circular Communication</a>!

You should be able to tell where this is (or rather could be) going within the next couple of weeks I hope. I am still hopeful that I can get someone (like you) to tag along for the journey :-)
